    Reporting back:

    DDU'ed the previous driver, installed this one. By default the "Power Efficiency" was uncheck (which is good for me), since I always turned it off. Maybe they know it's a source of stuttering.

    Wow. Maybe they do check their driver issue reports?

    DX11 ST Overhead
    Left 16.9.1 - Right 16.8.3

    Completely new branch?
    Driver version
    21.19.134.1

    Something I don't recall having is such deep drops on CPU frequency on the DX12 test, scores are the same though.

    Also updates the Vulkan runtime to 1.0.21.0 from 1.0.17.0 (Removing the older versions is recommended as they tend to stack otherwise but it's not a requirement.) although you can also get a pre-release version of 1.0.21.2 from this post on their Git repository but it's only really for fixing some problems with the SDK itself. - https://github.com/KhronosGroup/Vulkan-LoaderAndValidationLayers/issues/883

    EDIT: "Atiapfxx.exe -r -sys -s test.xml" XML dump and comparison with the earlier one from 16.8.3

    I'm looking forward to testing Deus Ex in DX12, so I really hope this version fixes the BSODs I got with every 16.8.x drivers I tried.

    On my side these drivers won't allow me to set 4K60hz (club3D adapter), going to reinstall.

    I think it would require the game itself to support a newer Vulkan SDK for full effect although it could still be that it reports AMD GPU's running via the 1.0.21.0 runtime now even if the game itself might still be on 1.0.17.0 or possibly lower. :)
    (I'm not sure what the game itself uses for it's Vulkan SDK though I would assume it's 1.0.17.0 and of course backwards compatible as I think Nvidia was initially on 1.0.8.0 or some such and now it's 1.0.12.0 with newer drivers.)

    EDIT: And of course for the developers to implement any additions of a newer Vulkan SDK into said game instead of just recompiling against the newer SDK but I don't believe Vulkan 1.0.x adds that much since new features were planned for a larger 1.1.x update or some such from what I remember of the documentation. (It's also there on the Github repository for the Khronos group along with pretty good version notes for what these updates add, much of it being related to SDK fixes but there's stuff for vendor specific extensions ala OpenGL as well and some other things I don't completely understand myself.)

    Since when did GRID Autosport and F1 2015 support OpenGL?

    I assume these OGL profiles are mainly Linux and/or Mac related. :)
    (Driver itself is Windows but the same profile file could still go into upcoming Linux drivers for example.)

    The full profile in the xml looks as such:

    <profile Area="OGL" Usage="GRIDAutosportProfile">
    <value Property="MCCaps1">0x00000001</value>
    <value Property="Oljfsi3Oj034fLF">0x00000001</value>
    </profile>

    That's the new one for OGL / OpenGL whereas for Windows / D3D there already existed several profiles targeting the various exe files.

    <application Title="Grid Autosport" File="gridautosport.exe">
    <use Area="PXDynamic">HighPerfGPUAffinity</use>
    <use Area="CFX">Grid AutosportProfile</use>
    </application>
    <application Title="Grid Autosport" File="gridautosport_avx.exe">
    <use Area="PXDynamic">HighPerfGPUAffinity</use>
    <use Area="CFX">Grid AutosportProfile</use>
    </application>

    <application Title="GridAutosport" File="GRIDAutosport.exe">
    <use Area="DXX">GridAutosportProfile</use>
    </application>
    <application Title="GridAutosport" File="GRIDAutosport_avx.exe">
    <use Area="DXX">GridAutosportProfile</use>
    </application>

    EDIT: Ah there is a Linux port, well that confirms it. :)
    (I guess the profile file "atiapfxx.blb" is shared across both Win and Linux then or at least the profile info in it.)

    hum, its weird how performance on 1070 suffers quite a bit (relatively speaking) and the 1060 is not experiencing any change

    (assuming the charts arent bogus / showing cherrypicked data)

    Hey, Jonas take a look at this. New Vulcan ver. ingame, it even seems like framerate is higher as well (OGL 45fps same spot).

    Guess I was wrong, useful to know and good to see a performance gain too. :)
    (So only the driver itself needs to support newer Vulkan versions then? Interesting.)

    Nice Undying. That's all I wanted to know. Nice to see id devs worked with the highest version of Vulkan available at the time.
