I would like to know , what is the best way to spend 10000 dollars on a killer gaming rig. I would like a two TFT monitor solution, Radeon XT, AMd 64, nforce 3 that kind of stuff. You guys can give me an insight ?
    Thanks

that's a lot of weeks partying :D I wouldn't even bother to make a computer up myself but just buy a killer Mach rig and an Alienware laptop

Well, this is the most expensive yet the best bang for the buck out of the most expensive parts (not ripping you off).

    P4 EE 3.2GHz Processor

    Asus P4C800-E Mobo
    or
    Abit IC7 Max3 Mobo

    Kingston HyperX PC3200 1GB matched pair (KHX3200/512 x2)
    or
Mushkin Black Level 2 1GB matched pair

Basically anything with Winbond BH-5 Ramchips

    Asus Radeon 9800XT

Western Digital Raptor x2 (in raid 0)
Western Digital 250GB SATA 8mb Cache 7200rpm HD

Creative Audigy 2 ZS Sound Card

Antec 550W True Blue PSU (i think this is the wattage, but i cant be sure)

    Watercooling solution:

Swiftech H20-8501A Kit with an extra Radiator, Chipset block, Graphics card block (if you dont want to build your own).

Swiftech waterblocks are very good and Swiftech pumps are also very good. A cascade radiator is one of the best.

Im not too good with watercooling, but i know those arent bad reccomendations.

    Air cooling solution:

    Thermalright SP-94 Heatsink with a:

92mm Vantec Tornado if you dont mind it being loud

92mm Panaflo Super High Output fan if you want slighly lower airflow, but very, very quiet.

Replace all case fans with Panaflos.

As for the case, Super towers are always good. Lian Li, Antec, Chemming and the Thermaltake Xaser III are all good choices (personally, i think the Xaser III is the best looking out of all of them, but not guaranteed the best performance).
A note, If you're not using air cooling, the case ventalation becomes much less important, but still important nevertheless. Oh, and dont forget to pimp out your rig with a cold cathode get some wire management and u got one of the best gaming rigs there is, under all the Freezer cooled rigs run by benchmark junkies and that mega expensive retail phase changed cooled rig with that awesome monitor setup (forget the name now)

Well... if he has the money... that means he can spend it! hahaha... ok.. I'd say this:

Wait for the AMD64 multiple processors have a good motherboard that supports 4 or 8 processors, PciExpress, etc
    Radeon R420
three or four 1GB memory sticks
two or three big and fast HD
    SoundBlaster Audigy 2 7.1 Platinium
    Creative 7.1 Gigaworks
    two 21" Nec/Hercules/LG/Samsung TFT monitors
some good hidrogen cooling stuff for all the processors, memory and videocard
    a HUGE power sluply
some good ventilators in a good case
    some neons and pimp stuff
    Plextor's CDRW Premium
    Plextor's PX 708A DVD+/-RW
    ...
I think that's mostly all of it. hehe... Tell me what you think :D

Is it possible to spend 10 grand on a computer? =/ You could get a $1500 uber chair to go with it........ and a mini-fridge to keep your beer/pop cool :D

well hey!, since you got all that money, you can try out my idea:
get a mini fridge and put your partis in there. then have someone put some holes in it for your drives and ports.

then of corse, you could easily throw 6 grand on one of those rediculusly large plasma screens....

make sure you buy some beers and a pizza too!

I'd blow it all on a new car, except I've just done that.

However, this might be the sort of set up to seek out. A multi-Operton set-up with a top end FX5950/9800XT card. 2 19" TFTs.

Or alternatively why not buy two or three (or more) really great PCs. Hook them up into a home network. Buy a stack of beer and get your mates round.

From personal experience, I'd spend 3500 on an Alienware Aurora. See my specs. I'm completely happy with this machine, and Alienware support is the best. Get the extended three year warranty, and you are set for several years!
Then spend the rest on all the newest games coming out, as your new rig will run them like a tornado!

a bunch of us at school were seeing how much the best alienware fully loaded would cost. 17000 something. Voodoopc.com got all the way up to 19000 something lol.
