ok im building a new rig, but im stuck. the parts i already own and cant upgrade (due to money) are as follows amd phenome 2 3.4ghz quad core 965 xfx 6950 2gig 256bit 8 gigs ddr3 1600 rip jaws. i want to do a mobo upgrade, but i dont think ill be grabing the new 8 cores seeing the reviews there getting. since ill be sticking with am3 for now would it be better if i get a am3 board or upgrade for the future and get a 990fx am3+ board. what do you guys think, and what would be a great board. (i dont really want to have to oc just to get my memory to read at 1600 either, and i would like the option to crossfire at 16 x 16) here is a few am3+ boards i was looking at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128514 and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131736 lastly http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...rue&Keywords=(keywords)&Page=1#scrollFullInfo which board would utilize my parts the best? please any advice would be greatly appreciated. thank you
SABERTOOTH 990FX is good and GA-990FXA-UD3 is better... but for GA-990FXA-UD3, you sure have to get rev 1.2 since it has combo e-Sata/USB compared to rev 1.0/1.1.. both support SLI and CFX x16...
