    Hi
My old 6870 os dying out, i need a new one.
Honestly a i have no idea what os the state of hw this days, can you reccomended me a new VGA that its not inferior to my 6870?
Also my setup will be a huge bottleneck so no sense in getting a high end VGA.
    Its an old x3 720, 4gb RAM.
    Thanks

Use your 6870 until it dies. Or get nearly anything 2nd hand that's dead cheap. And play old/undemanding games.

Do not upgrade, sidegrade or expand your rig. Save until you have enough for a full makeover :)

Thanks, the card is prety much dead. It starts artefacting 2min into windows.
2nd hand is an option but most of equivalent VGA i ve found re over 80€, and for that i´l go for a RX550.

Honestly i don t know if i´l ever buy a new PC, most games today don't speak much to me, time is also an issue, and when i have it i just play Counter Strike source or Fallout 4, wich runs surprisingly well on the 6870.
Not 60 fps fine, maybe 30fps well:)

You can use this as a performance reference.

Your 6870 is missing from the list, but its FullHD Performance Index should be around 200. So realistically quite similar to before mentioned RX550 (which has the advantage of 2GB)

There are plenty cards like 7850/70 2gb at 30-40$ used, that should be running fine there at some extent.

I live in Europe, and trust me, 2nd are expensive.
I Guess the 550 os the best option. Any Diference from to 2gb to 4gb?

Not really, unless you play at higher resolutions or mode your game with 4K textures.

The extra ram is always nice, but i´m talking about the fact that one is 64 bits and the other is 128.
I´l i see any difference there?
    Thank you

They are both 128bit 2/4gb vram. You wont notice that much of a difference in the system you are using.
