It's funny how techpowerup's review differs from almost everyone else. ;)

well overall % is close, actual fps is a bit different, but they usually use gameplay not benchmarks.

And they used normalized 3200mhz ram to scale across all systems. Some reviews use 3600mhz for amd and those intel non K procesors 2666mhz ram, so that is kinda wrong too and doesn't show proper picture.

Not that I really care or have to defend anyone, just stating the obvious.

you can lower timings as much as you want to compensate tho, im running 3000mhz CL16 @ 2666 CL13

i went the cheap route with a cheap MSI (cheapest I found with powerlimit unlocked) B460, so I can't OC, just timings :p. If you went Z490 route, just overclock it to whatever the frequency

Nah I found a cheap 10500, got extra ram for the price of 5600x. Will get some more "fancy" z490 mobo to be later rocketlake rdy.

I get your point and you are not wrong but if you only game and not use your pc for anything else and already own high end intel or even AMD CPU , there is no real need to upgrade, the differences are minor at best .
It all depends on your usage but for most of us its the exciting new hardware that we crave,
to have the fastest bestest gear , we don't need it but we want it .
Unless you make money using your pc , then you need the best performance you can get , time is money .

    A bit of thread hijacking.
Anyone remembers those bets and posts on Reddit about the certainty of AMD going 100% bankrupt?
There was a guy swearing to grill and eat his shoes IF AMD would turn the tables.
Looks like we'll fire up the grill :D

It's insane how many orders go through these webshops. I don't have an exact queue position but in one of the two stores where I ordered, I'm in place ~300 for a 5900X and around ~100 for the 5800X. Don't know about the other store but these things sold out in a matter of seconds. On the other hand, one store got 30pcs 5800X and 5900X combined, that's nothing.

Tried just for boredom to buy one... no chance.
eBay has some, but I'll pay those with onions peels, if anything.
