Anything about pricing is pure speculation at this point. We know Jensen makes these decisions personally and often at a minute to midnight.

With a notable decrease in mining demand and plenty of 30-series stock still in the pipeline, this is a significantly different market. That said - if the 40-series confers a significant bump in performance, this would be one way of justifying a price bump. It may be just what Nvidia will do to slot these in at their mining and shortage heyday price points. I certainly can't see them asking €600 or €800 + VAT for 20-30% gains. But a 3090Ti for €600 is a much easier sell.

I already started saving up for a new pc. Was thinking about getting that 4070 or 7700xt then upgrade to zen4 later on. Its gonna be a fun winter.

 

i'd use that am4 if I were you tbh 7000 is going to be great but man, ddr5 is going to drive the costs super high you already have pcie4 why bother get a 5800x3d no way 7700x is going to beat that for efficiency and coolness factor

 

We'll see. Im afraid 3800x will be the bottleneck even at 3440x1440. If 7700x beats or even matches the 5800x3d that discussion will be over. DDR5 prices are coming down by the day and what about pcie5?

 

pcie5 is irrelevant really i'd take more 4.0 connectors over a 5.0 one, ddr5 is still expensive as hell

 

I can already get 32gb 6000 cl36 for a 300eur with a little tweaking it would probably go even higher. If 7700x really costs 300eur + we'll see how much X670 costs but thats a cutting edge performance.

I don't get people getting mad over TDP (for their own use, ecology is another matter)
Just undervolt? My 3070 FE consumes 120w in forza 5 with my undervolt at the cost of 2 to 3 FPS as opposed to 215-225.
With a good undervolt that requires no binning or anything you can easily reach -35 / -40% power usage..
