firefox 38 final 64-bit
so i noticed youtube now defaults to html5 player 37.0.2 cyberfox x64 not sure if this happened with this update or something on Youtube changed
Yep, they changed something on Youtube for sure. Just checked on two of my rigs, one with official FF 37.0.2 32bit (Win7 x64 SP1) and other with official FF 38.0 Beta 9 (Win8.1 Pro x64) and both FF are playing Youtube vids via HTML5.
As a bonus both rigs now can play 60fps Youtube vids like that one dk_lightning (first of his own and that Corvette video) has posted here:
So, according to firefox ftp. We wont see final release of Firefox 38 64bit.
yes mozila abandon x64 firefox again in final version but my friend xhmikosr compiled RC2 (probaly final version) in x64 perfect, if RC3 is release new version is compiled
and the wait continues for the official builds of x64 for FF
Weird ... it's stable, what are they waiting for?
another 3 + years? i mean the been resistant to release x64 build for how long now while 3rd party build have no issues building them
Is there anything special about Firefox 38.05? It installed that POS add-on Pocket and disabled Firefox's own read it later feature.
Final stable FF 38.0 is out, also available via autoupdate:
...but, still no 64bit version, so... we are going to wait and hope 64bit is gonna be a FF 39.
imho 38.x Beta 64bit builds are more than fast and stable enough for me so don't hesitate to use them if you really want 64bit web-browser.
Just got it, thanks
Just noticed a small bug in FF 38.0 32bit: can't close Firefox via X in up-right corner, had to close it via Taskbar.
Switched to FF 38.0 32bit yesterday and today on 8 of my PCs at home and office (9 more left to go, only one of my HTPCs I'm using FF 38.0.5 Beta V2 64bit) and this bug affected only two of those PCs switched to FF 38.0 32bit: one with Win7 Ultimate SP1 x64 at home and other one with WinXP SP3 Professional x86 at office.
Other 6 PC's with FF 38.0 32bit are not affected by this bug... probably the're going to fix it in next release.
I gona stick to Cyberfox x64 for intel, till such time Mozilla sees fit to official release x64
Finally, YouTube through Firefox supports 1080p60 fully. About time, it took Mozilla long enough!
Sadly, I've grown very fond of Chrome and now use that over Firefox as my main browser. Firefox unfortunately could be a bit buggy with certain websites and combined with the lack of 60 fps YouTube support was the reason I abandoned it for the far more stable and feature-packed Chrome.
Just got v38.0.1 through
Beta 39.0 64bit
That new menu screen looks nice, confused the hell out of me for a second though
You took the words right out of my mouth I was like: I want my old Options menu back.... few minutes later: why they didn't changed to this much earlier?
This router-like Options menu is more than fine with me, much cleaner look, but can't find Facebook Like button anywhere
Cyberfox update check now redirect you to the version of cyberfox you using let see if cyberfox has incrment updating like Mozilla does before Mozilla release offical x64
pcxfirefox 38.0.1 is release
is the best version
