There is all kinds of weird and wonderful technology out there; but the corporations need to release it a little at a time, in order to maximize their profits. That's why technology gadgets are always lacking in one or more areas...so that they come bring it out in the next version. Have you seen the computer technology used in CSI Miami? That is NOT science fiction; just like corporations are starting to use holographic projections in their conferences.

 

When I play with my balls, it does tend to be in real-time... unless I'm very lucky
