Most impressive games for me this E3 were:

    1) Batman Arkham Knight

    2) Witcher 3

    3) AC Unity

Dragon Age Inquisition also deserves an honorable mention. I will be getting all of these games when they become available :)

Its the only original title at E3.

    Gamer nerd spotted! ;)

Btw - i'm REALLY glad ive just seen some footage from last year confirming THE CREW actually has a cockpit view, not just 3rd person. All videos from this year had the arcade view so i feared for the worst.

Well I am looking forward to it. This is the reason gaming is becoming moronic. Same old rubbish recycled year after year.

I saw somebody walking around in a colorful landscape and then get in a ship and shoot other ships in space / over another planet surface.

It looked beautiful and the seemless transition between space & planet surface was great, but i'm missing interesting / challenging gameplay in No Man's Sky.

Procedural worlds can be become very boring without purpose. ELITE gives you this purpose for every planet, maybe the devs can learn from that?

You are missing the point completely. This is very small 7 man team. They do not have the resources to create anything like what Elite can offer, which will employ over 300 staff in comparison.

Listen to the BBC interview with one of the developers.

Game that I'm most excited about was bloodborne which is sad because I don't own a
    console :/

At least I have DS2 DLC to look forward.

    Pretty much.
His keynote speeches are about the only thing I looked forward to from QuakeCon.
And now that he's not doing that... meh.
Even more annoying considering he offered to do one this year, and Bethesda turned him down.

I'm excited to see Doom... but, it's the only thing I'm interested in QuakeCon for.

I have a feeling that No Mans Sky is going to confuse and perhaps delight others in it's approach to how free it allows you to be. The vast majority of gamers have become so accustomed to being told what and how to do something in a game that they simply can't play a game where it allows you to be creative, and do anything they can think of, without constraints. A perfect example of that was what ])rStrangelove posted before.

Some gamers may like the freedom it offers, while others are looking for something else, or to be told what and where to go, otherwise they see no point.

You go to Elite Dangerous and the like when you want a bit more direction. You go to No Man's Sky when you want total unscripted freedom. Why would you want both games to offer the same thing?

Yeah No Mans Sky certainly looked nice but i'm not sure if it's something I will like yet, not really looked into it. Strangely though, I do still love how Destiny is shaping up and they have now announced 1080p for the XB1 build with the new XB1 SDK, got my beta code from Amazon for that a few days ago, really excited to try it. I think Bungie ran out of ideas with Halo and so am hoping that Destiny allows them to prosper once again. I would die for both titles on PC but am happy with at least XB1. Destiny just seems like it's made for a PC really, shame. Seriously can't wait for the Halo reboots and especially Halo 5.

I found E3 to be a bit bland this year. Last year was really great. Lets hope next year is better.

I was kind of surprised that neither Microsoft or Sony showed this game off during their E3 presentations. The AI for the ALIEN does sound very impressive.
