You're not a clown, you're the entire circus.
Signed up just to ask if you could please consider adding the USB-c driver to the 'BareBones' version. Reason being is I use the BareBones driver with an RTX card but end up having to manually install the USB-c driver to avoid a missing driver bang in device manager.
Thank you tons, this is what a driver should be like. F big corp bloatware/spyware.
Where can I download the USB-C driver separately? OCD much? Hopefully he doesn't add it. The package's size has already increased by 100mb in the last 3 releases.
It's allready in there
Thank you for the feedback. I don't own an RTX card, so question from my side - what is the usage case scenario for USB-C driver on your end?
Regarding drive size, indeed it is slowly creeping up. Nvidia, after all, did add a lot of new features recently.
Ahh, I assumed it wasn't included in the driver folder as it doesn't show up as an option during installation, like it does with the RTX driver. This is how I installed it: Device Manager > PCI device > Update driver > Browse my computer for driver software [Ray Tracing Clean Driver Folder]
My GPU has a USB-c display output, so without that I have a missing driver in device manager, plus no USB-c display output of course.
It's only indeed for RTX cards so you need to make the RTX version how to is in the first post
You have 2 options:
1) use RTX driver, as Barebones version is mainly oriented towards people that a) don't need RTX capabilities b) have non-RTX GPU
2) Manually clean a driver and leave the components you deem necessary.
Tq for still providing slim compressed version of nvidia drivers,i'm back using gtx 1050 2gb coz my ex mining rx 470 no display and completely dead
is nvidia ansel/freestyle working with this driver?
Afaik those are part of GeForce Experience. Refer to the OP, there is a section explaining how to use clean driver + geforce experience.
Got this error when trying to open ansel/freestyle
Not sure, as I haven't used it for ages. Have you installed Barebones version or RTX version?
First post updated with Clean 436.48 WHQL - Desktop/Notebook Versions
Previous drivers moved into the Archive.
Thanks you very very much!
Im using 1050ti
considering the small size of the usb port manager driver and the fact it only installs on suppored devices, i don't see a point to 'cleaning' it out of the package.
its not like the hd audio driver where windows includes on already.
What component in specific are you refering to? PPC / NvvHCI or something else?
PPC, its the type c port manager, not including this leaves a device uninstalled and usb c
The other one is the virtual xhci driver that is required in order to connect usb controllers directly to a Shield in streaming mode.
Excluding the PPC driver is a bit like leaving out the display driver itself
Surprise @cryohellinc Hotfix driver is out 436.51 Thanks in advance.
