Basically, I'm voting with my wallet.

 

I respect that. I'm also on the verge to support it or not. Certain things that CDPR did with this game i really don't like.

 

Eh, it's only a three week delay. No biggie.

Not like there's anything else coming out in Nov/Dec that I'm interested in. I can easily wait.
This will give me some time to play the XIII Remake... and then, Dec will be Cyberpunk. Is all good.

I rather doubt it, but perhaps NV will bundle it with there higher end cards once they become available.

A little incentive for an ugly release?

 

Seems possible. It would help shift a "few" cards and would mitigate, a little, this disaster of a launch.

I fully expect everyone will just dump on the stock closing day before launch, that always happens with hyped titles.
Real question is what will happen after that.

 

Quickly partner with Netflix for a series and a animated season to get back those...50% ha ha.

Or 25% rather but yeah I can see CD Project's higher ups are having some difficulties and are under pressure from investors to get Cyberpunk done so I hope the extra time for the current-gen versions (Which they've invested too much in and also promoted heavily plus the established multi million units of existing hardware and market too.) anyway hopefully the delay while focused on getting these in acceptable to launch and passing certification state means more time to polish the PC and next-gen console versions.

Guessing that is why they've also done these short delays but it's adding up now the more they have to continue delaying instead of a single longer delay.
Which I would have preferred anyway, it's missing the main Holiday November sales session anyway with the December move-up so a Q1 2021 tentative would feel better but that adds a ton of extra work and overtime for the extended development duration regardless and pressures the top suits and investors further as well.
(These short delays and hoping to have enough to pass certification isn't really helping though if it's going to fail again but we'll see in December I suppose.)

EDIT: Wonder what else Netflix is going to be picking up too, Castlevania, Dragons Dogma and Assassin's Creed plus probably more.

CD Project (RED) does also have some other properties and work but Cyberpunk is a big one the hype and the investment must be pretty massive so as a result it has to come out soon-ish and it has to deliver though I assume sales will be good but will they be as almost ridiculously high as the market is targeting these days, well I guess we'll see that too over the first month or two for the critical period and then long-term.

And I know the costs have increased but stuff like celebrating reaching a million sales and then having the publisher deem it a fail is something alright.
It is what it is but I greatly dislike the projected multi million critical period sales and long term barely matters even if it holds up well and then higher production costs coupled with higher base game prices and in-game transactions and DLC, sigh.
(I do know it works though and the successes some publishers see with this method.)
