Can you remove a Volcanoe II fan without CPU damge

    Hi,<br>

    Has anyone removed a thermaltake volcanoe II from an athlon?<br>
    It has thermal tape on the bottom between the heatsink and the CPU. Can this damage the CPU when it's removed? Once it has been removed can it be put back on or do I need some sort of heat compound?<br>
