I have both cards at home. In vantage 8800GTX wins,and in 3dmark06 9800GTX wins thanks to higher clocks. In games at my res 1400x1050, without AA 9800GTX often wins by a few FPS but when i use AA and high details 8800GTX wins most of the time. U can buy a 8800GTX for les then what a 9800GTX costs so 8800GTX is the better choise. And it`s more "futureproff" thanks to the better mem bus and more mem...
lol, well it'll be here is a few days. Off topic: During the early moneths of 2007 when I got vista and halo 2 the performance was horrid on my present card. One update in may fixed the performance and even bioshock runs smooth on High. Interesting to see how my other "slow" games are performing since I abandoned them when I had all that lag.
