I apologise if someone has posted a similar question, i'm feeling a little lazy to search tonight! I'm a bit out of touch since buying my 8800GT. How much more powerful are the new 9800's coming out this year compared to the 8800GT? Is it worth upgrading soon? I heard the 9800GX2 is only around 30% faster, though i haven't checked around to see if that's true. How about the 9800GTX? Many thanks.
GX2 is much faster then 30% over a GTcard, look at this review:http://www.driverheaven.net/reviews.php?reviewid=538&pageid=14 9800GTX will just be alitle faster then 8800GTS 512mb,but will have 768mb, just oc the GTS and it`s much faster..
I think the 8800GT and the 9600GT are the best price/performance cards at the minute, both offer great performance at a reasonable price, the 8800GTS is slighty more and is basically as fast as a 8800GTX so would get that if you want more power,the 9800GTX should be slighty faster than that but not that much, so might be worth looking at depending on the price.
