what are the best overclocked settings for 8600gt 512mb? im a noob at this and i dont have a clue how to use it.. so if anyone can please tell me what the settings are for this.. ive got rivaturner installed the latest one with the latest builds.. or whatever they are.. thanks
There are no "settings" for overclocking, every card varies and no 2 cards will be the same. What generally happens is you start off at stock and bump the clock speed in steps, bump it a step and stability test, if it passes bump it again and test, bump until it doesn't pass then go back a step and bump it by a smaller amount, rinse and repeat until you find the limit. EG:if stock speed is 600Mhz, i'll go 610 test(pass), 620 test(pass) 630, test(pass) 640, test(fail) so now i'll go back to 630 and go a smaller step so 635 test (fail) so i'll just leave it at 630.
