has anyone tried to bench this card on c2d chip?
wonder how much of a bottleneck my oc e8400 will be if I upgrade from 9800GT

EDIT: it actually runs pretty good on a high end c2d
got the Gigabyte OC one at a discounted price.
no regrets so far. kills my old 9800GT 512m

Same as a 448 ti card would be my guess and it depends in what apps you use.

Some benchmarks and bf4 game play vid

1420/3300 still on the imported stock thermal paste

runs about the same as my gtx570 or 448 Ti card

bf4 stock clocks 1334 IQ high setting

Was playable ok for me looked ok too

    vddc for my ftw card
Either of the 3 points marked in the yellow circle other to ground

    More to come yet

No really i did not mean to do that i hate small screen shots you cant' even read i am sorry
I did figure it out today and thanks :)

1st step i guess is cooling not that it needs it at all its just cus i can.

Cooling was slight hurdel h70 or other aio coolers is tight but would fit the catch its the spacing and core size that is he real issue I tried but the zip ties did not let it seat right i can try agian later ad if i take more time i can get i to work.
But no matter the h70 is just way overkill anyway so i reached for older coolers i had the 460 hawk would fit but i seen my volt modded leadtek 6800 nu that had a as1 yup the accelo as1 that we used on 4850 and gx2's jajaja
I also put a heatsink on the vrm area..that was not a whole lot of area to cover

If you are going to do this you(are bored) need to use the inside screw holes and you have to take the black cover of the back of core area

still stock voltage i can't even read the ic's since i cant find my lighted magnifiying glass :wanker: samsung ram btw

did the cooling help? sure alittle. Going to test bf4 in a few minutes to see how that goes with a overclock

My 2600k and ud7 i figured i would pair up?

    1435+/3300 2600k 5.0

Over 5K score in Firestrike is not bad at all considering how little that card uses and how low the temps are. Overclocked, sure but still.

This little bastard is very impressive. May be looking at my future PhysX card.

I'm waiting for the low-profile GTX750 from Galaxy..... Wonder if my SFF case can heat one of these cards up a bit....

Damn nice results for an entry level card, thanks for sharing.
When I see your pics Cowie, I think to myself "That poor little card getting the crap kicked out of it by that big brute Cowie"
Then I see the temps the card is hitting and I think "Spank it harder, you know it's asking for it"
Really a shame they didn't offer sli on them.
A budget system with a pair of those in sli would be like a current day version of the sli 9600 GT era.
Bang for buck would have been hard to pass on a tight budget.

Sadly the 750's don't support SLI. But you could build one hell of a 1600x900 budget PC with one.

And you don’t even need a separate PCIe power connector either...very impressive indeed...

Yeah it might spend most its life overclocked while its in my hands smashly but i take care of it..you know... i realised you can not treat people like robots but you can't treat hardware like people either :) :nerd: :)

gpu read i use either one of those three points

Played some bf4 without any fans on the card never seen 60c in 1 hour of overclocked gameplay
66f room temps only fan on the rig is the one on the h70 and ends up giving it slight air movement but for a active heatsink there is decent room between the fins on this cooler to use it passively too... never even tried before
This one and others have 6pins..on the sli thing why would you bother with these cards lack of bus
The chip is smaller then half a usa penny thats what is really cool

^And that's on 28nm!!!! F*ck! I can't wait to see 20nm and high end with Maxwell. TDP of a 670 and the performance (hopefully) of 680sli. One can hope right.

I'd take a serving of that tbh.

The 750 is very impressive all things considered.

It is considering it's almost 480 performance with a 60W power draw.

In Cowie's hands, this card is a bit more impressive.... The low profile cards need to hurry up....

ok now if nvidia wants to put 4 of these under the same heatspreader its fine by me.
