I've searched around the forum, but can't figure out why the Trilinear and Anisotropic optimizations in my Nvidia Control Panel are set to off and are grayed-out? I can't enable them, as far as I can see. Can I? Does it even matter?

On image quality slider, set the preferences to quality.U probably have the slider
to high quality, and that will automaticaly disable your optimizations, thus the greyout boxes.Setting to quality will enable those options once again

Thanks! I did this just now on my PC at work, so I can't test any games and see if it makes a difference either way. I wonder if going from High-Quality to Quality makes it worse...
