nice1 doublee! you beat craptacular's x1900xtx with that, with same clock on the cpu.

  4. Very nice, I must say:thumbup: But for the sake of agruement, my XTX was not at all at it's highest clocks (803/1840) That run I posted was only a comparison run that I was doing at those clocks (730/1700) to compare them to my higher ones. but I never got around to running 03 again for some reason (guess I'm just lazy...lol) But not taking anything away from him, that is a great score. Those Dothans really are faster at single thread apps like this:)

Yeah, no way I could compete with a 7900xtx or x1900xtx... but I sure give any 7900gt a challenge... :)

This oc process needs a lot of time to figure out every possible approach and surely there exists more opportunities ahead... I have just recently got bitten by the oc bug and I'm hooked... :)

If I only could get Dottie's relationship with the sailor guy (Corsair) to work out better... who knows what dance steps could turn up....

I was continually locking up in 3DMark03 with both my 7800GTX's and the 7900GT's and I have finally found the problem. My X-Fi card is sharing IRQ 18 with my first GFX card... going to have to try to move it to another slot today and see if I can get rid of the sharing. For the above test, I disabled the sound card and it ran though without any problems... finally!

Yeah... I just changed the to the slot closest to my 2nd GFX card (can't use the last slot as my water pump is blocks the card) and the bugger is still on IRQ 18. I don't want to get to the stage where I assign all the IRQ's myself :(

PS. I though Mike already sorted out his problem with the IRQ sharing.

good improvements , its the memory clock which is lessening score have a go at leaving the core and upping memory

upping memory is unstable, i mean at all.

its weird that i guess certain 3dmarks favour certain setups, i think you should get 50k on what yoou have with a bit of messing about, i know on mine it favouurs 06 but not 05

the max gfx ram speed you should be able to run with should be 1640mhz. much more will unbalance the clocks.
your gt1 kills mine, but the rest are within 10 fps of mine. :( ( :D )
    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=4808285
    and only 4 k diffrence?!?

perhaps you should look at lod. the WR is only 51k. and thats done on AM2

How do I mess with LOD? :D

Ive done it before, but that was back when I had a 6600 GT and i just forget.

use NVhard page. its got simple sliders. just set +24 /+48 lod and away your score goes. (also helps a lot in 01)

err, uhh, negative LOD is what increases performance, correct? Not Positive?

wrong. positive is positive performance, negative is negative performance.
negative gives a much better pic quality.
