How bad of a hit is it? I've done a lot of googling since reading your last message, and and almost everything I'm reading says to use the hardware setting. Also, I can't seem to find any way to set it in-game. :(

Skyrim SE uses 16x by default.

The perf hit is minor though. If you're on 60Hz/60FPS, it will not matter, since your 1080 Ti has a crapton of headroom left. It's just something to have in mind though, for people who target 144FPS or something like that. On my system (980 Ti at 1440p,) not forcing AF in the driver resulted in something like 110FPS vs 104FPS. If I was using a 60FPS lock, it of course would not result in any difference whatsoever. The perf difference is also situational though. Areas with lots of shadows (like in an area with lots of trees) there can be a bigger difference. But again, at 60FPS, you probably won't see any impact.

Why i can't see shortcut icon? I want to launch game with 50fps limit while my Base profile for all others games with 60fps
    [IMG]

For this mission i can't use RivaTuner fps limiter - it working worse for me and games have problems or simple hangs when start.

Speaking of AF glitches. I just discovered for whatever reason that the GOG Galaxy client will be entirely glitched with all kinds of weird green pixels everywhere if AF is forced/overridden.
Have to set to application controlled to be usable.

That's... odd MrBonk. I have AF 16x forced in nvidia control panel and don't get that issue with GOG client.

Yeah I don't know man haha. I had a hunch and when I create a profile and disable forced AF for Galaxy the problem fixes itself. I have no idea. I've been able to replicate it several times.
I had a similar issue with Steam's new friends UI as well for a bit with Air-Classic , but after some updates no longer have the problem.

Haven't updated my drivers in a while since I don't play many current AAA releases. (And also out of fear of AA messing up in Doom 3 causing the texture blurring glitch before I get off my butt and play it again )or Windows 7 is the issue. (Aero disabled too, so no compositor).

I always forced AF X16 in Global settings, but I don't use GOG client.

Anyone know if AF x16 works in Frostbite games (BF1, BF4 etc)?

There doesn't seem to be an in-game setting for it.

It should and I believe that in-game setting max out at 4x but you can switch it to 16x via some console or config variable - Google it.

Forcing AF in the driver works in the majority of games. There's really only few exceptions where it doesn't work, and that usually involves games that use GPU compute to generate pixels in weird ways. The vast majority of games use normal texture mapping techniques that the driver can apply AF to.

Yeh, I googled it and seems AF does work for BFx games, will have to try it and see if I notice a difference.

    Hi.
I love to use nvidia profile for fps limit = v2 60fps and vsync off.
But i have problems with Vulkan API games - Doom and newest "X4" space game.
I can see horizontal line on a screen even with 60fps limit. How to fix that?

Trying to get the profile inspector (v2.13) to work with Skyrim special edition in Windows 10 (a fresh installation) with a 1070 ti. I keep getting an error when I try to apply me settings. The error is

    DRS_SaveSettingsfailed: NVAPI_ERROR

I am running the inspector as administrator.

Anyone have a fix to this?
