AMD Radeon Crimson 16.1 Hotfix

For last few days gta 5 is the only game i play and i have totally no visual glitches in it.
Windows 10, r9 380 4GB and crimson 16.1.

Have you tried game's files verification? It looks like missing some files or corrupted game's archive.

so, I had this problem in first day of my crimson. back then I didn't updated ddu (or it wasn't updated to cover crimson).
I don't know which ddu version did u use but if it's the last version, you better let them know of the flaw.

 

I dont recall seeing this problem with the latest version of DDU. Can someone else confirm?

 

I have been swapping between a Toxic R280X and Tri-X R9 Fury. Swapping between them does leave leftovers from the previous device, though the driver is exactly the same (All GCN's use the same driver).

DDU is working as intended. My OS is Windows 10 Pro x64 10586.63.

 

yay frame rate control works per game now. But Settings still doesn't auto start in the notification area of windows until I right click the desktop and click on it. Oh well. This still makes VSR not on when it starts up the PC.

 

Dunno if this has been asked, but since upgrading to crimson 16.1 hotfix every opengl game crashes.

Is there a fix or i need to roll back? Should 15.1.1 or 15.2 be fine?

 

Can you share information about the leftovers from previous devices?

 

Is no body with an r9 290 having the same problem as me with the crimson drivers? I get a black screen on boot up on the log on screen and it doesn't matter how long i wait, it just stays there. I have even reset msi afterburner settings and removed it to see if it was the overclock. I think this piece of junk driver has issues with the factory overclock of the card.

 

Does anyone else have issues after installing crimson

my R9295x2 does not want to boot up properly from a cold start, i will get to the login screen on windows 10 and it will freeze up with half the screen blue and half black and sometimes it will get past the login to the desktop and freeze there.

i have to safemode DUU the drivers then boot back into windows normally then install drivers then reboot and system works fine until i shut down again and it does the same again......

I use latest version of DDU.

Don't know why it happened, but it just did. I used latest version of course.

Currently working with "Watcher" to try and fix this. (he got a repro)

 

Or maybe disabling fast boot, to see if it's anything related to the half hibernation that causes the driver to crash on first start.

 

Individual game profiles don't work at all for me, I have to use global settings. 15.12's worked fine in that regard.

This issue doesn't apply to me, but I should take the time to say thanks Wagnard for all your hard work and dedication to this wonderful and brilliant program that has become an essential tool for most of us.

 

Fast start up and boot are disabled from bios and windows settings, and autostart has only 6 programs; amd driver, java update, realtek hd audio, asrock fastlan and intel health monitor. Autorun found nothing fishy. I don't have much on my gaming rig but games and autodesk inventor and autocad. Everything else is pretty much gaming/benchmarking related, and non are set to start up with windows, not even msi afterburner.
