Dang! Thats actually less than what I paid for a SATA M500 480GB SSD almost 4 years ago. And that was an eyeopener in terms of performance. I'm curious to see if I'd notice an improvement again with a proper NVME M.2.

$250 on Newegg. $115 for the 500 gb version. Very nice prices. Thanks for the review HH. :)

I have the 2TB SATA version. Really sweet SSD.

    That's what I still don't get...
at which point do we get to feel the upgrade in everyday OS usage, moving from ordinary SATA3 SSD upwards toward Intel 900p

Skeptic in me says: skip and wait

From what I've gathered, size is the most important thing. Simply buy the biggest and do not look back.

i've been using this since January as a game drive. it's way better than my old 2.5" ssd (2x generations older).

Id love to get the 1TB model. I think I will.

My board has a 2nd m.2 slot, and it wont affect the performance of my 960 EVo 250GB in the 3.0 X4 slot. I only run one gpu as well.

Id love to take out my old mechanical 500GB, move those games to my X400 512gb SSD, and move those games on the X400 drive to this drive.

Ordered one (the SATA version) a few days ago, can't wait for it to get here :D. I cheaped out on the newegg shipping so it'll be here in a week derp.

I'm currently using two 120GB OCZ Agility 3s in Raid0 and not having to put everything on my HDDs is going to be great. Having writes that don't suck (my Agilitys have deteriorated quite a bit) will be nice too. I'm amazed how cheap it was compared to what I paid for my SSDs a good number of years ago... With sales tax, I paid 0.86$ CAD / GB (on sale) then, now I got this one for 0.25$ CAD / GB.

Edit: The Canadian dollar was MUCH stronger then so it's even more amazing

It's not nvme though. It is m2 sata, no speed difference than normal sata connector, just a different connector style. But it is a helluva great price for anybody needing an ssd, $190 for 1TB on Amazon!
