Weird thing. For 7660g + 7670m configuration, switchable graphics menu has disappeared in 13.8b2.

It's strange, as it was ok with 13.8b1 for this config.

Huge fps drops (20-15) on Rage at some arenas. Not a single fps drop after reverting to 13.4 WHQL.

Already tried. Still missing switchable graphics. It's just a mess with AMD.

You can stop trying and go back to last known driver that worked.

    AMD really need fix this.

The only thing that works for my laptop with the 5470m switchable is blowing out all AMD drivers, then install the manufacture ones, then install the latest ones.

I know you tried; was just suggesting it to RiPLeY78 since we have similar hardware lol

Dude, I don't think they will change anything in the WHQL driver.

Or is it possible that the beta driver just doesn't support my configuration? Because the support list for the 13.8 Beta driver doesn't include my 6520g APU while the 13.4 WHQL does.

1.) Beta doesn't mean that everything works, but in most case it's for testing some peace of the code...

2.) You should also blame you notebook manufacturer as they should always release new drivers specially for you notebook...

Thanks for trying PlsHelpMe...(The support list on page1 does include 6520g and our 6400m, 6600m+6700m series cards, but i have same problems as you).

I'll continue following your posts since my hardware is almost the same as yours. I'm in the same boat also having a 6520g apu. I'm still on 13.4whql and still waiting for a fix. But like you said, I'm not too optimistic since dropped switchable graphics continues happening with every beta driver since 13.6beta on our particular system config. The only things keeping me patient are: A few mentions of game performance on 13.6beta2 was better than these new 13.8betas; Big New game titles aren't released yet for another few weeks; And the LeakM's enduro fix may have brought back the switchable graphics menu...so just staying hopeful for any future support on our AMD Llano Win 7 dual graphic configurations.

While this is true, this will not change anytime soon. To be completely fair though, the latest respectable drivers notebook manufacturers should be providing is 13.4 either as-is from AMD, or actually modified for that particular laptop (I have never seen a laptop requiring an OEM's specific driver though, in any case; most just re-bundle the driver as-is with a different zip name).

Another point of fairness, AMD does say:
... which implies they probably realize their generic drivers may not work on all setups.

Do you have a Toshiba, Panasonic, or Sony laptop?

I run a single 5850. Installed 13.8 beta 2 and my mouse still herks and jerks during SSD/HD access. Perhaps not as badly as with beta 1, but it's noticeably janky and can be quite annoying.

    Anyone else?

Isn't strange that it's only during HDD access?
It doesn't look like graphic drivers problem for me, but like of HDD or controller...

    Not, it's not.
I had the same problem with the first Beta and now I have it with this one too.
I comfirmed otherwise, but, no, it's still present.
With 13.6 beta 2 and 13.4 whql, the problem is not present at all.

Are you saying that the 13.8 Beta 1 or 2 drivers caused mouse stutter for you too?

Fact: my computer did not experience this issue until I installed 13.8 Beta 1.

Same mouse stutter occurs for me too, but I just figured it to be a Windows 7 thing (didn't have it happen on Windows 8.1 with the OpenGL 4.3 drivers).

Oh, those didn't have this problem either.
I forgo to mention, only 13.8 Beta 1 and 2.
    It's not a Windows 7 "thing"
