    Interesting question. It should be overwritten, but deleting will not hurt.

    @mongoose333

    On Hirens you should use Lazesoft Disk Image & Clone, I guess.

    Hey...

    Before I do ANYTHING, I just had a major revelation...

    Earlier in this thread, way early, I had mentioned I was tired & forgot what I had done while trying to clone the nights before.

    I was just heading over to format my USB, & I noticed my NEW drive, was not with C: drive any longer in Explorer, it is missing, (I assume because we cleaned it), so I went to disk manager, & this disk initialization popped up for disk 1...

    "INITIALIZE DISK"

    I NEVER SAW OR DID THIS BEFORE, THIS IS THE AREA THAT I GOT STUCK ON BEFORE WHEN CLONING, AS WHAT I WAS READING/GOING BY, SAID IT WOULD APPEAR, BUT IT DID NOT, I ASSUME BECAUSE I SCREWED WITH IT THE NIGHTS BEFORE...

    I HAD NEVER INITIALIZED MY SSD...

    What ever I did screwing things up, made this never appear in the first place... ghjghjghjg.jpg

    I think this could have been my entire problem, maybe...

    Ty...

    I know you are off here for now.

    Since I now know how to clean the SSD, & now have initialized the SSD, I am going to play around & try & clone Win 10 to it again as we discussed...

    I will update here later, or get back with you when you return, I know you said you were busy tomorrow, so whenever you get back on, you will see this...

    Thanks...

    Hey...

    Look...

    dfgdfgdfgdfg.jpg

    I am currently texting to you on the new SSD...

    Yay!!!

    So, it would appear that is was the whole disk initialization after all...

    All I did was initialize disk after you had me clean it up/delete it.

    Then I just Cloned it/HDD, shut it down, switched SSD SATA to HDD slot.

    Then it just booted right up, no issues whatsoever...

    I will check back here tomorrow.

    Thanks, & have a great day...

    Sincerely,
    Mongoose333

    Congratulations!

    You can change its label to "NEW" to avoid confusion. And the screenshot of Disk Management would be more informative.

    Thanks...

    I also went & put the HDD back on, then made a Recovery for it on USB.

    Also, quick question...

    Instead of me making a recovery on USB for the HDD, couldn't I have done that with the NEW SSD, seeing how it was the exact same thing? lol

    I wasn't sure so I put the HDD back in & made a recovery for it, lol

    Threw this SSD back on & everything seems to work fine so far...

    Here is that screenshot... NEW.jpg

    @mongoose333

    What do you mean by "made a recovery for it"?

    @mongoose333

    Now you need to remove 3rd partition - first recovery one, then extend main partition, then repair last recovery partition (now it is shown as completey empty).

    I made a recovery USB for my system, WINDOWS 10 64bit...

    Remember, we had to format the USB & I lost that one...

    I made a new one with the Lazesoft software...

    Here are 2 screens showing what it said...

    Waiting, lol

    Even though I have done all this, I will never retain all this info, little here & there, but it is all just overwhelming to me, that is why I never learned it all in the 1st place years ago...

    Thanks...

    Assuming that SSD is the main drive now - i.e. disk 0:
    launch diskpart
    select disk 0
    select partition 3
    delete partition override
    select partition 2
    extend
    exit

    stay in command propmpt to repair recovery partition:
    reagentc /disable
    reagentc /enable

    To view the status of recovery execute
    reagentc /info

    And you can post a screenshot of Disk Management again.

    When I get to this command, reagentc /disable

    It says it is already disabled, do I just continue to the next step?

    @mongoose333

    As for HDD, you can clean it in diskpart
    diskpart
    select disk 1
    clean
    exit

    and then initialize in Disk Management and then create a new partition.
