After my experience with 7.1 I'll wait this time before updating.

Version 7.1.1.820 still not available on Samsung's regular download site.
Installed this 7.1.1.820 from Guru3D and all seems fine here. Using Samsung (SATA) SSD 750, 850 Pro & 870 QVO.
But a lot of folks on reddit seem to have an issue with the application 'Scanning drives' forever at startup. Maybe a NVMe driver issue?

EDIT: but there it is after F5, see: https://semiconductor.samsung.com/consumer-storage/support/tools/

When will they update their NVMe driver? Getting a bit old.

The file hosted on guru3d is named Samsung_Magician_Installer_Official_8.0.1.1000.exe but the new file has name Samsung_Magician_Installer_Official_8.1.0.800.exe. I downloaded the new file from samsung and it worked fine.

Both download links posted several hours ago look completely fine to me:

    Which link are you using?

I'm saying that the name of the exe in the zip file is wrong. The zip file contains the file

    Samsung_Magician_Installer_Official_8.0.1.1000.exe

That's the wrong name of the file. The file name in the zip file should be

    Samsung_Magician_Installer_Official_8.1.0.800.exe

Look specifically at the bolded part of the file names

All provided links proved to be correct on my side though.

EDIT: I see only NL & DE links btw. Maybe that's related.

This software is pretty annoying. Every time I update I have to uncheck "start with windows" because it never remembers this setting after update (intentionally ofcourse). And I also have to disable 2 background services from running all the time.
