980 Ti Owners Thread

I think I had the same 980 Ti as you did based on pic, EVGA SC+?

Which I sold not too long ago having kept it as spare and before I did I tested it with Doom Eternal and Rage 2, both ran well past 60 fps at 1080p maxed out and both use Vulkan which isn't optimal for Maxwell I think.

(Maybe I had to drop texture pool size in Eternal but point remains)

 

It's the FTW.

Usually for me, Vulkan was always faster than DX12 in all games that had both. And for Doom 4, Vulkan was so much faster than OpenGL, it wasn't even funny. Like 90-110FPS with OpenGL but a 100% lock on 120FPS (RTSS cap) with Vulkan. In fact when not using RTSS, it would often hit the game's internal 200FPS cap, and that's on 1440p ultra.

That card was a hell of a lot of fun.
