I am thinking about buying either this:

    Or this:

As far as I can tell there is not a great deal of difference fps wise and the price is quiet different between the cards.

First I wanted to ask about the reliability of Zotac cards as I have never bought one.

Second I wanted to ask is it really worth the extra 50mhz and £55 quid to go with the EVGA? What would that be, an extra 5fps in BF4?

Third question and this is the biggie. It does seem like the 800 series is delayed until at least end of year. Chances are next year. Then I would have to wait for decent cooling solution so we are talking Q2 maybe. Is it worth waiting?

One of the things I want from either of these cards is better temps. My 670's are hitting 85 deg as it's summer here. The EVGA hits 65 deg max load but I'm not sure about the Zotac. EDIT: May have found something about the Zotac temps: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/graphics/display/zotac-geforce-gtx-780-ti_3.html#sect0

going from 2gb > 3gb ain't much by way of legroom for next-gen game engines. 780 then step up to 780 6gb or 780ti 6gb.(if you don't want to wait for 880).
i imagine 880 will be here soon.

I don't think its worth the extra cash. Zotac is a good brand.
Normally i'd be getting the 780 non-ti but considering you're coming from 670 sli and most importantly you game at 1440p you need the extra power the Ti gives you for future games.
But if you plan on going sli you could get a 780 now and get another one later if you are tighter on the budget,if not you can do the same with the 780 ti:)

As for the 800 series i don't think anyone knows yet if its worth it or not,i guess it depends on you, i for one am done with the waiting and i'm going to get a 780 and just skip the 800's.

Zotac amp! is good cooler, I was really surprised by it, if you have good case ventilation then you won't see it above 72C @ Auto fan.
Relatively silent too up to 75%, auto never goes above 70%, it doesnt have any annoying high pitch sounds.

I bought the same OC model because it was the cheapest and so far really surprised by its power & cooling, even at stock boost 1084mhz. :)

EVGA has a good reputation and a little bit pricey, both brands a are though.

I think I will wait for the extra leg room as Goldie put it. With using 2 x AA and 1440p I think I will need extra memory bandwidth and more than 3gb.

    Chears chaps.

@LorelynF. I watched a video of yours the other day! I searched for Zotac 780 OC. Small world! :)
