So, i've had people here and there ask me how the Zalman Reserator cools. Heres the setup: both 7900GTO's are hooked up to a Reserator V2 and my processor is hooked up to a Reserator 1 Plus using the CPU block from the V2. The PC is setup in 65-70 degree fahrenheit room and both the Reserators are next to each other. CPU temps: Idle - 22-23 degrees Celcuis Load - 28 degrees Celcius GPU temps: Idle - 36 degrees Celcius Load - 47 degrees Celcuis max This test was done running Spring and Supreme Commander Beta at 1360 X 768 with all settings maxed out. just thought i'd let you guys know in case anyone was wondering of purchasing these. i'm planning to get two 8800GTS's once they're released so i'll update the numbers and let you know. Yes it may be crazy to see them on there but thats what the warranty from eVGA will be for.
looks pretty promising. Zalman are the cooling pros! i dont know about the gpu there so much though, seems like one may get better performance out of a vf900cu
Last i checked my 79GTO idles @ 29?! Also, is SC lagging when you play at that resolution? With such a great rig, and with OC's, i'd hope not... If so, i guess i will have to upgrade again after all
yea, SC lags but its only because its beta. throw in an ai and forget about it after about 20 min. i get 45fps max and thats at the beginning. 29C really? thats i checked on another post, some were in the 40's when idle. maybe each one is different. http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?threadid=199431 well, time for the overclocking to see how well it all works.
Darn. I might have to go full sized after all I was really hopeing for an mATX build. I checked again, still a solid 29 degrees, both on the CP and in rivatuner. I guess it must like the way i have my fans set up or something. By comparrison, the lowest i ever got my 66GT with NV silencer was 33... and that was keeping the window open all night, and it was freezing outside. And my 850XTPE never saw anything below 45.
