http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16835118004 what do you guys think..is it good or should i go for the 9700.. im looking for something cold and quiet for my 46C idleing Opty 165
Well the difference in price is $10-15, while the difference in performance is only a couple degrees celsius. Not sure if the extra money is worth the slightly better performance, but it's your decision. Personally, I'd go with the 9500.
I'd go for this cooler instead. http://www.frozencpu.com/products/1...tra_Silent_CPU_Cooler_T-120.html?tl=g40c14s48
So would I, except it's sold out practically everywhere. Newegg sold out within about 24 hours of getting a new shipment in. I know this because I was thinking about getting one, but I waited too long
newegg has em in stock right now. i myself own the tuniq tower and its a beast. i had originally bought the 9500 to go with my new comp, but replaced it with the tuniq tower because it couldnt handle 3.6 ghz at safe temps.
Lol i like the idea of the tuniq tower but it seems HUGE Well the 9500 looks like my HSF of choice thanks for the input
I find it surprising the 9500 out performs the Big Typhoon. Theoretically, the BT has a more efficient design, similar to the Tuniq. The Tuniq Tower is the best cooler right now, which is why it's always sold out. It's similar to the BT as I said. Has six copper heat pipes with aluminum fins. Copper absorbs more heat but aluminum releases it more readily, which is what makes it an efficient design. Plus, it's utterly massive. I'd definitely get the Tuniq Tower. Just make sure to measure your case first before you pick one up, since it is one BIG cooler.
I have one, specs are on the left. I'm getting 23C Idle, and 42-45C @ Full Load.. OC'd to 2997 MHZ (3 GHz)
Asus just released a new cooler which is a bit cooler than the Zalman's.. its the Silent Knight which i might get if i dont buy a watercooling kit since my stock cpu cooler is ugly + its cheaper than the 9700LED and 9700NT LED
