Hello, I recently bought the i9 10850ka CPU, currently running it in Asus b460m plus mobo. I am looking for a new motherboard, because the ram I have is limited to 2933 mhz, its rated at 3600 mhz ( also m-atx motherboards make the case look empty. LOL) I cant seem to decide, should I wait for Asus Z590-E or get the Z490-E now. The only REAL difference between the two is pcie gen 4, which I don't plan to use (at least not in the near future) coz I don't have a gen 4 compatible device.
You answered you own question. If you have no need for pci-e gen 4, then save yourself some money and get the 490-E. Pretty sure the 590-E will cost $100-150 more for a feature you will not use.
