Now with fat finger pad design. Same as any other website site for the last few years, every change is always for the worse. Slower and harder to navigate, but that is ok as long as it appeals to the hipster flashy noob generation with their ****ty tablets and iphones. Same as everything these days if it isn't consolization it is Tabletization. No one cares about us PC users, desktop owners with proper mice any more. Fuk em all.
Yeah. I really don't like the new style. They're going for something more modern, but it's just annoying. Just wait for a FireFox plugin to change it back. Several websites have such plugins to giver older looks back.
I like it more than before even if it is a minor aesthetic change. The video thumbnails are much clearer and sharp now.
I played with this design for a couple of days on my brother's account since they migrated him first. I don't have major complaints. People will always complain, this holds true with any major websites like Facebook and YouTube. Personally, nothing game breaking and looks a lot more like their new GMail interface. deltatux
This, seriously, almost every site layout/design is getting worse in usability, and when you get used to it, they update it again.
IMO the new layout is OK, but at least put a warning or two about the design change. I was opening it this morning and I thought I'm opening the wrong page. By the layout yes it is designed for tablet/touchscreen use, nothing wrong with that except there is tons of excessive space unused on the side of it because of it, at least give an option to change layout for tablet/desktop and that would be better
useless videos that you can't X off from your list of subs, still cant disable the "videos you may like" tab, and too much junk on the left. its way too cluttered and like 99% of it is completely useless and just in the way. the old one was bad too but this is way worse.
Quite liking this, definetly an improvement, might take me abit longer to get used to the new Gmail look though. It does need to be wider though, far too much empty space on a 19x10 screen. These days i do make a conscious effort to try and like changes, but i know what some people can be like with updaes to a GUI even when its an upgrade people ignore that and rant it's worse, i used to be like that, and even up to Vista i had Windows looking like Windows 98:nerd:
It would be fine but with each update, they force me to see what my subscriptions post and what they like etc. Now I can't even remove videos from my home screen lol they are stuck there, I think I'm going to unsubscribe from everyone and just manually search if they have anything new...
