    i finished silenthill and 2 with my mate, we both couldnt play it alone lol.. same goes for doom3.. my first attempt to play dead space 2 was ended as uninstall after playing first corridor, 2 years later i could be man up and beat it lol..

    F.E.A.R Expansions...

    Alot of people giving shout outs to F.E.A.R ...

    Same here but I'm going to have to give special mention to the expansion
    packs which I thought were a bit scarier and creepier. There was some
    pretty F'ed UP stuff in those packs. Especially the Hospital that would "flashback" to a mental institution.

    That part creeped me out so much that I actually had chills and did not want to finish the game.

    And the black puddle monsters...those gaawddangged things.....F .THAT.

    If you played the expansions packs you know what I'm talking about.

    I still need to force my self past the end of the dungeon (just in the scary sewer room where the door closes slowly after you open it and Im convinced the monster is about to appear and I have to run to the door and crank it open quickly to escape) on amnesia. The monster on the dungeon steps had me close to tears when I escaped from it and was hiding......

    Silent Hill 1-3, and that new SCP game gave me some jumps.
    Honestly, for pure survival horror i'd recommend Amnesia.

    Gosh there are so many, but if i had to pick at least one, I would say Dead Space. It was the first horror game IMO that completely enveloped you in a world of sound that was so deep it was amazing. Of course i had a 7.1 system then too, so im sure that helped... But no other game freaked me out more than that one on every level that matters to creep the hell outta ya.

    Others

    Dead Space 2 (again the sound takes you in the world)
    Resident Evil 1 & 2

    Man there are a few more yet gotta run....
