Well I'm asking for fellow Guru Members to help try and get a Christmas song to the number 1 spot in the UK charts.

When was the last time you heard a proper xmas song in the charts? Well here in sunny Blackpool a few local unsigned bands have got together to bring you just that......a XMAS SONG!!!

And the best thing is, it was created for Children In Need and is available to download from itunes from the 5th December.

So how can you help? well please see links below for the website which has Facebook and Twitter links and also a Youtube link for the video, all you need to do is share and like to spread the word......and of course to download the song :)

And here is a better description as to what this is all about:

Let's All Get SandAid To Christmas No. 1 2011.
SandAid has been formed from local unsigned musicians who are releasing an original Christmas song for 2011, with the proceeds going to BBC's Children in Need charity. With your help and support, the bands of Blackpool could achieve their goal of releasing a Christmas Single for 2011, potentially to the number 1 spot. It has been 21 years since we have had a Christmas song at No 1. Thanks for your support, please tell your friends about us. Let's make Blackpool Rock at Christmas this year to help the disadvantaged children through the BBC CiN Appeal. £0.50 from the sale of this £0.79 download will benefit The BBC Children in Need Appeal, a company limited by guarantee (charity number 802052 in England & Wales and SC039557 in Scotland). It's better than being in Cowell's pocket. Download it from 5th December.
