Xabre wasn't so bad it made a decent budget gaming card until I bought a Ti4200.. but a dual chip board now that's gonna cost a ****load..

The V8 model supports DX9 not just the dual. The single as well supports it.

i'm realy interested in how these cards will perform....if they'll kick ass we have 3 big(or..just good...coz they aren't big yet :) ) graphics card manufacturers at one time again after a long time

I'm sorta worried about the power consumption of this card, even the showcased 9800 MAXX only had 1 molex on it, but this one has 2

i'm not too worried about the power consumption.... i think my 550 watt powersupply would be able to handle it...

now if it dual volari performs awesome... then i will spend some cash on it for my second computer..... (have parts laying around for a second computer... so might as well build another)

Duo version (dual chip one) is rumoured to be 350mhz core (each) and 1000mhz DDR2. 5600+ 3dmark2k3 on P43.0ghz I think.

How the dual setup on this is supposed to work is that each chip renders 1 frame, alternating between the two.

0.13 micron process, so it shouldn't be too power demanding (relative to if it were 0.15 of course)

350W PSU might not be usefull on the duo version.

    5600+ @ 2k3 is not good compared to a single chip ATI 9800pro with 6000+ 2k3

Hmm, at the same time this is brand new hardware, give them time to optimise drivers etc.. we cant really know till the card is officially released for a little while at least.

I'd say it's a very good achivement, but that's my opinion.
