    personally I don't think this test program is updated to take advantage of all the new hardware.....I wouldn't lose any sleep over it, because I know for a fact in real world testing all the newer hardware would beat my set up hands down....

    maybe it's as simple as not taking into consideration your all (most) running DDR3?

    i Dont think has nothing to do with program version itself...

    a friend of mine recently bought a sapphire 6950, and has the same issue with X58 motheboard, ~880mb/sec, while at the same moment i have ~6gb/s in my both cards.. The obvious outcome???-> i have better gpu score in vantage (single 6950) than his (+500marks) with my "outdated" q9650..

    edit: 3 more people with 6950+X58 m/b in a Greek forum experience the same low scores.

    There is NO chance this guy with P55 refers to gpu-cpu bw...
    he points out 6gb/s at 120mhz pci-e.. which coincidentally is the 5gbs cap * (120mhz/100mhz)... i can bet that it's cpu->gpu bandwidth... ;)

    Yah something wrong with his result. No one with P55/X58 getting over 800~ mark for GPU > CPU.

    I think it's a issue with ATI drivers. The slow speed limits been fixed before.

    i wouldn't worry about it, especially because its 0.1v beta.. yea he made it to diagnose stuff but still, how do you know its 100% reliable?

    well if my games run below average then i would worry, but if the game or benchmark utility - advanced 3d mark tests, etc. are ok, only this program causing "issues" whom would you trust more?:nerd:

    thats how i "know" ;)

    X58-i7920@4ghz 6950@900-1375 -> Vantage GPU score : 21400
    X48-Q9650@4.2ghz 6950@900-1375 - Vantage GPU score : 21977

    even with 200mhz "advantage" the i7 should slaughter the 9650.. but instead was "slaughtered" by almost 600marks..

    edit: ill report later results from 3dmark11 with both processors clocked at 4200 and same driver-settings, so the i7 should have a clear advantage, to see what impact has this 800mb/s limit..

    Has anyone checked to see if this may just be a motherboard chipset driver issue?

    unless that i7 has HT disabled.. also gpu part of the score could be stronger because to higher cpu freq. and maybe you have some throttling features enabled by i7?..
    Try 3dmark 06 and im sure you would see a bigger difference.

    Or that program was designed for AMD Hyper Transport links or something among these lines, well i saw the creator mentioning it..

    Or you have some mobo driver issues, especially LPC interface controller part (if you have it).. it controls direct memory address, high precision event timer, system comos,..

    I feel the same way. Something isnt right. I get a 3DMark11 score as P4602 with my 6950 which is about the same as my 5850. I dont understand why the score is so low.

    well if your getting only 800mb bandwidth it would be painfully obvious, this program clearly isn't operating or reporting correctly on some hardware.....

    for whatever reason it seems to really like my hardware.....

    maybe it's just the 10.10 drivers i'm still running.

    maybe you should try again but with CAT 11.1a drivers instead

    Bug is know on intel chipset p55 .. someone posted a thread about it from AMD forums .. they fixed it in some drivers 9 something back then. http://forums.amd.com/devforum/mess...=130923&STARTPAGE=1&FTVAR_FORUMVIEWTMP=Linear

    Pretty sure the PCI-E test tool is accurate. AMD platform report accurate & P67 with 6xxx card report accurate.

    No, the i7 had the HT always ON, and disabled all power saving features. 5% higher cpu freq in C2Q is "nada" vs i7 IPC advantage.. (i had done some comparisons3 months ago, with friend with i7+470, vs mine Q9650+470). 3dmark06 might be faster on i7 finally.. but keep in mind its much lighter, so memory usage and consequent pci-e bandwidth usage will be fairly lower.

    p.s.> 4 ppl and counting in a Greek forum with X58+69x0 and low scores.. in fact i almost bet that we won't see a P55/X58+69x0 with proper gpu-cpu bandwidth... ;)

    Card: AMD 6950 2GB (Reference Design Card from Sapphire)
    Drivers: 11.1a

    I tried the PCI-E Bandwidth test, the scores are pretty much the same..

    Phenom 965@2.2Ghz_0.85 CPUv_P2 state - [Yeah, I use MY CPU under clocked..never had to use full speed..only used 2.7Ghz_0.9875 CPUv_P1 state for metro and GTA 4]

    From
    [ 524288 bytes] to [ 536870912 bytes]

    Transfer Rates were always...
    CPU->GPU = more than 5 GB/sec
    GPU->CPU = more than 5 GB/sec

    @the one who posted this issue, Install all your drivers properly.

    Looks like more with x58 chipsets having problems for whatever reason. My results are 850's on x58 with 5800 series so who knows. Game performance is fine and GPU-z shows x16 2.0 for both cards. I guess if performance is up to snuff not to much to worry about.

    @all, those who have this issue.

    The issue was solved in Catalyst 10.7 or 10.8, clean and reinstall the new AMD drivers and re-check it.

    Then scrap the PCIe tester, and start using games as real world benchmark.

    Edit -
    Extra information

    I guess its your Display Drivers...

    i guess if was fixed somehow only in 10.7-10.8 , users that are affected with 69x0.. cant use these drivers.. ;( as they are too old

    or that program doesnt detect newer driver properly.
