Now it's becoming really weird. I have a newer system, higher clocks, same card, same OS, yet I get 4900MB/s and 800MB/s.

Do the cards work? Can you play games and run programs?

I have an XFX 6950 2GB UL to 6970 with 11.1a drivers and I ran the PCIe test and I got the same CPU-GPU as GPU-CPU stats at 4-5GB/sec. My OpenCL is not checked in GPU-Z.

But but it's not funny to see some getting low results.

I'm not going to say I'm 100% sure - but I'm sure many would agree that the inconsistancies you all are seeing has nothing to do with the graphics card and everything to do with the PCIe controller/chipset/memory controller.

It can also be different bios configurations. ie. (PCIe frame size - do you have it set at 128? 256? 4096? Can you even configure it from bios?)

Which slot do you have it in? Some boards like my 790i Ultra SLI have three 16x PCIe slots - but only two of them have direct access to the northbridge. My results would be a lot worse if I stuck my card in the middle slot. (and yes, I run a 5970 on a 790i Ultra SLI so I'm not in the wrong forum - lol).

I mean, how the PCIe controller interacts with the card and the memory controller are highly sophisticated. Not all chipsets/mobos are created equal... even if you paid a lot for it ;-)

I was looking at the original posters two screenshots - and frankly, I wasn't impressed by either - and yet his worry was that his scores weren't as good as that one. I'd say both sets of scores suggest a trip to the BIOS - which depending on what configuration options are available to you - may or may not help.

    Just my two cents.

Sorry, your not getting 5,000GB/sec anywhere on any hardware. That would be 5TB/sec. Ain't nothing out now that can do that.
What you are getting is 5,000MB/sec, or 5.0GB/sec. The punctuation is a small thing but means alot in this situation. Learn to write numbers.
