In a word, yes and no. While many feel it is simply overpriced, you'd be very surprised.

    Specs:
    520MHz core
    540MHz memory (1.08GHz)
    PCI-e
    256MB of 256-bit GDDR3

    Pros:
    1. Only beaten by the X850XT PE, and very rarely dual 6800 Ultras (yes that's right, in many games this card outperforms SLI 6800U's).
    2. Great overclockability. From the stock speeds, I have achieved 615/1300 for hours without artifacts.
    3. At under $480 in some stores, it can cost less than the X800XT, mainly because of the production amounts (many more x850'x are produced).
    4. Leaf blower fan.

    Cons:
    1. Leaf blower fan. To run oc'd, needs to be at 100%. That's the equivalent of an airline engine. No joke, my pc maybe produced 15 dbs if lucky. With that on 100%, it's closer to 40+. Very very loud.
    2. Takes up two spaces, one for the card, another for the leaf blower.

    Conclusion:
At under $500, it really isn't overpriced. In fact, the huge cooler fan can be a plus if you don't care about noise. Be sure to have a program like ATi tray tools that allows you to manually set the fan speed to keep it cool during overclocking. As long as you've got your speakers cranked or have headphones, you won't notice the noise. Be sure to leave a good area for the exhaust heat behind the pc.

    Verdict: Go for it.

Sounds like a winner you have, great overclockability. I would consider water cooling that beast.
