X850pro AGP or X800XT AGP

I wanna upgrade my 9600pro on an old rig I have. I can get a used X850 pro for $55 shipped or a brand new X800XT for $99 + shipping. What do you think would be the better option. The card will be paired up with a P4 2.8 & 1 gig DDR400 ram. I'm looking to run FEAR. Thanks.

 

The X850Pro, cause it's $55.

 

I know you want to choose between those two cards, but neither will do shader model 3.0, so you might want to save up a little longer so you can get a used X1950 PRO AGP, or the new HD 3850 AGP when it comes out.

But if it must be between those cards, I say the X800XT, because it has 16 pipelines, as opposed to the X850 PRO's 12.

if the 850pro is a vivo, then YES because its a bios locked 850xt PE
if not then 800xt

 

I had the X850XTPE, worked great till I got a X1950XT AGP.
i say go with the X850pro, and bios mod it.

 

Thanks for the comments. I have looked for the 1950 pro agp without any luck. I also didn't know the 3850 would be available in agp. Anyone know when it will hit the shelves? Google provided no answers.

 

Well pairing a 3850 with a that system mentioned above would be a waste.

 

I agree, but if they're not overly expensive, who cares.
