havn't found a game that won't run - gig of ram was needed for doom 3 and america's army hospital (other maps were fine, just this one POS map lagged)

The HDRish smartshader, as well as others, are not part of the ATI or Omega Driver packs. It's a third party app. You can find it here .
PssControl2.zip has the program to load the smartshaders.
entries.zip and Psseffects.zip contain the .pss which are the shader scripts.

As for this thread being dead the only good game that has been released in the last two months is kotor2, which I'll be getting tomorrow . Maybe I'll post some shots.
