Neither... I've got an Auzentech X-Meridian 2g, which uses the Oxygen HT Audio processor, which is the same used in the HD Claro Omega card... It's supposed to be the best card you can get :)

However, out of those cards, I would say the X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty :)

Yeah, well that's why I said out of them, the xfi and the ones better for gaming...

However, I have heard people said the Claro Omega has the best audio sound, which includes the Auzen X-Meridian (same chip) :)

If you dont need 5.1 then the X-Fi HD PCIe which would be a very good choice. if you need 5.1 Then you can find a cheap Forte.

The Asus Xonar HDAV1.3 is aimed at a different market. Mainly those who want to do full blu ray audio thru analog. I had the Xonar HDAV 1.3 my self besides the STX. It did just as good as the STX in gaming minus the amp.

If you want the gaming features then a Creative chip-set card is your only choice, and no goat. the Razer barracuda would not be a good choice in this day or age. Because of the options of other cards. Despite you hearing the barracuda AC1 sounding that same as your X-Fi HD on your setup.

See, yes that particular chip, c-media CMI 8788 is on the Claro/AuzenX-meridian/Razer-Barra and some others, it's got an snr120db DAC, it's great... Also has Flexbass which I use, really is mint :)

For games, Xfi because of EAX 1-5 :)

    regards,
    RagDoll.

Edit: Hey dude, do you have it hooked up via analog multi?

Cool, but I better not hijack thread, so back on topic :) The Creative cards will always be better in games, not just because of EAX, but because it's a mainstream card that game developers always know and write their games around...

I'm using HDAV1.3 for gaming, and I'd say it works great. Dolby Virtual speaker makes it sounds great in any games or movies. Not much games uses EAX anyway so you don't miss a whole lot

It depends on when the recon comes to your area, which you say is unknown,it could be next week or 3 months.. If you need one now,go with the fatality,or better yet the xfi forte. Plus that one has a headphone amp..

Out of those cards, I would take the HDAV 1.3 Deluxe.
You have more support and features on that card then the others. You can also change out all the opamps...
