Having stutter problems in BF3, removed caps, but that didn't seem to help. Using latest beta drivers. Turning off x-fire in Cat only disables one of my three cards. seems the 5970 still works in x-fire mode.

Getting between 45-55fps in ULTRA @ 2560 x 1600 with 2 x MSAA and 2 x AF using latest drivers and removed Cap3 profile (as that disabled CFX)
Using what is now old 5870..
It does stutter in places but more than playable until better drivers arrive if they ever do...

Fine here. 1080p ultra. Texture High. No AA

You might be running in a vram wall?

I played yesterday with the HD6990 and i noticed that the performance was not really good. If i uninstall CAP3 the performance can be increased?.

Game does seem to suck up a bunch of vram, even at lower settings. I'm thinking this might be part of the issue.

Any luck getting the application profile uninstalled? I'm getting a BSOD every time I try to uninstall them too.

i have unistalled cap 3 but the game freezes on dolby digital logo, no way to play or to go any further.

I disable cfx and BF3 goes sweet with all to ultra, aa deferred on high ed msaa on 4x without any stuttering [on the bios I have disable HT]

    Any suggestions for the cfx?

11.10 p3 - STILL no luck with CFX, will not boot past DICE logo. Installing CAP3 resolves things, but huge stuttering. AMD - the biggest game of the year, once again totally unprepared and unprofessional.

Disable ULPS it seems to be getting in the way. I have only 6850s so it must be working based on my performance and I already had this disabled via Trixx for multicard oc ability. Google for fix via regedit if you'd prefer not to use an app.

disabled ULPS, still cannot boot into the game with CFX enabled on the 11.10 V3s with no CAPs, AMD has until Friday to get this sorted, since technically I should not be playing this game.

Try uninstalling the drivers and caps until in the device manager you see only vga display adapter. Dont let windows install anything; from there install only the 11.10 preview3.

    Good luck !

I've tried every combination of driver/cap plus manually editing the ULPS values in the registry. The only thing that makes the game playable is disabling crossfire in catman.

The beta just worked fine with crossfire, in fact it gave better fps than bc2.

*EDIT, looks like I 'finally' got quad crossfire working mostly, it's not perfect but is playable.

Step1: gpedit.msc to disable win7 from autoinstalling driver on my cards (google instructions)
    Step2: Delete (and remove software) all 4 gpus (2 x 5970)
Step3: Uninstall any amd items in add/remove programs
    Step4: Reboot
    Step5: Install Atiman Uninstaller v.6.0.0
Step6: Run Atiman Unistaller, wait for it to complete
    Step7: undo gpedit.msc
    Step8: Install amd_catalyst_11.10_preview3_win7_vista.exe
    Step9: Reboot
Step10: Play BF3 1080p on High or Ultra, fps from 85 to 130 avg around 110.

Utilization on High is only in the 60's fps are not much better than Ultra, only with Ultra there is a bit of lag and the utilization is higher. I need a new cpu I guess. I think it was the complete removal by the atiman unistaller that made the difference, because I had tried the preview3 driver yesterday with no cap installed and it didn't work.

Resorted to reinstalling the hard way, all seems to be working OK"ish" now, did have a crash changing some of the gfx options, but other than that it was pretty stable. 4MSAA hits the performance in a big way however, there is definitely work to be done on the drivers and the game itself.
