can someone give me a list of brands/models that would support 120hz with WQXGA like resolution. I'm looking for a monitor/tv from hell and go from 720p to well beyond 1080p. I looked in amazon but choices are slim and apparently listing refresh rates aren't important enough for us consumers.

It doesn't have to be in the format listed above. Trying to set an example/ context.

My requirements are 120hz with higher resolution than 1080p below 40" screen. ports either DP or HDMI, no matter. can be a tv or monitor. does a monster exist ?

There's not many 1600p 120hz monitors out there. If any.

My U2711 supports up to 75 Hz.

Can you see any difference from 60 > 75hz?

My W2453v LG 1080p is overclocked to 74hz. but going from 60-74 fps in most games is not noticeable. A friend of mine has a 120hz monitor and whenever i play a game over there for a bit i can definitely see a difference.

60 Hz is the highest I can use (DVI interface).

75hz isn't half bad, i guess the tech needs to mature in the market :/

edit: Nixeus Vue 30" IPS 2560x1600 WQXGA Monitor this one looks sexy but, no reviews. I think i'll stick to ones with no speakers. I don't want to fight my computer from hdmi taking over my audio again >.<. takes flipping forever to find the forum that instructs me how to hack my drivers....:puke2:

I wonder DP does the same.

Almost no motion blur - you may buy new ASUS or Benq monitor has LightBoost ((LB 2D "hack" or 3D) is more important than "Hz") support but sorry for lower resolution screen than your monitor. :)

Catleap, overlord, qnix are all 2560x1440 27in panels with 120hz capability, if you buy the OC model

Yep, LG and Samsung make some pretty dodgy stuff ;) J/k, but I know what you mean.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the obvious, 1600P@120Hz gaming on a Gtx 460 and Core 2 Duo?!

haha about that, its going to change next year. been out of the loop. been thru air force military training for a total of 7 months and my computer has not seen the money or the time to get upgrades. cash is flowing in strong unlike before and i'm going to upgrade slowly for this year and next year. i demand an epic upgrade.

    my expected build list:

    corsair 2.1 2500 "this year"
    haswell-E ddr4 ! Ill dump 500$ willingly
Lian li armorsuit dragon "currently own and probably die with it"
    dual monitors "this year"
    wireless keyboard/ mouse "this year"
aiming for an asus motherboard $200 range great onboard sound to fuel the corsair speakers well.
The 800 series of nvidia sounds sexy atm on board arm processor o_O whats that ganna do xD??

I don't like to game hunched over, I like to lean back and I have a wooden mini table as tall as above my knee. mouse pad my butt, the wooden polished surface is incredibly lazer friendly.

Obviously you dont know much about them. "Koreans" only make the enclosure and sell them, they dont make the pcb or the panels. Btw i have 2 of these monitors and know several people personally who dont have any issues with them.
