Not going to lie, I have been swayed off by pc gaming for a while (school, work), So i haven't really paid any attention to my desktop pc.
It literally was dying and the gpu was at its end with being too hot and frequently bsod'ing, I had to upgrade!

I decided to wait on boxing day/week for some good deals on it as I don't want to spend as much money as I did back then. Essentially I still wanted the performance to keep up with the latest games.

    -Gigabyte GTX 660 Ti 2gb OC 1066mhz (oc'ed to 1100mhz) - Replacing 9800GTX
-Asus P8Z77V-LK ATX motherboard - Replacing EVGA 750i FTW sli motherboard
    -Intel core i5 3570k unlocked, (oc'ed to 4.2ghz) - Replacing E8400 Wolfdale OC'ed to 4.2ghz
    -Cooler master Hyper 212 EVO
-Seagate barracuda 1TB HDD sata 3 - Replacing broken 500gb hdd and 250gb hdd.
    -G.SKILL Ripjaws X F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24 Memory

    Peripherals I purchased.

-Asus VS247H-P monitor, FINALLY moved onto 1080p rather than my old samsung tv monitor that displays only 1366x768.
-Creative gigaworks t40 series ii speakers which are alot more portable and sound is excellent. just without the booming bass.

I kept the dvd drives, my p180 case, and my silent and cooling 750w psu, all in all what a heck of a big difference. Currently on windows 8, even though I don't have any SSD I can still tell that it currently loads everything very fast.

So this is just a thread about what you bought, you're not looking for any advice. Well congrats I suppose, seems like a nice rig. I would have recommended the 7950 over the 660 Ti, it just outperforms it quite easily when overclocked.

Nice upgrade. You should see quite an improvement. Enjoy your new rig!

Oh and btw, your PSU might be getting old and could have taken a beating from your E8400 overclocked to 4.2 Ghz (nice OC for a core 2 duo)

Wouldn't hurt to change your PSU to a newer one in the near future :)
