I think nvidias transparent aa is better than ATI's adaptive aa. ( they are at least comperable )And also from the guru3d review at least, the 7900 is defeating the x1900, even in games like hl2, so i would say that the 7900, being the same price or cheaper than x1900, is a slam dunk to all except the most hardened fanboy ;)

( Just looked at the eVGA super clock version of the 7900 gtx, obviously costing more, but definately making the gap a little bigger from the x1900 )

Can the eVGA even clock ANY higher than the others anyhow? does it somehow have more voltage to gpu/mem?

..about the x1900 rebate , i hate rebates.. i once had a rebate take 3 months. :O depends on the company tho.

Does any know if monarch computers offer financing for their products!?!?

nope, you'll need to get an X1800 or X1900 for this. Or wait for the Geforce 8800 :)

Yea, I keep hearing all this wierd crap from you people. It's true, the 7900GTX barely, and I mean by less than 100 points, beats the X1900XTX in 3DMark06, but we all know it depends on how far each card can OC. If anyone hear is seriously looking into a 7900GTX rather than a 7900 GT is either rich or stupid. I believe in the Guru3D review they said they used the exact same core, meaning that it's almost gauranteed to OC to the 7800 GTX core. Only difference may be that they reduced the volts are something, since they are using a weaker HSF that would make a lot of sense.

And with the HDR + AA stuff, there is only one type of AA and HDR they can't do, and that's multisampling. Multisampling AA looks like crap anyways so I don't see it as a big deal. That might be a problem if you run like 16xS AA since I believe it uses 2x2 SSAA + 4x MSAA, but you could very easily just run 2x2 SSAA via nHancer. Not to mention you'd need SLI AT THE MINIMUM to run at those levels.

I'll be getting 7900gtx.. not because im rich or stupid.. its that i want a 512 mb card after going through so many 256mb's. Plus its only $500 and it owns.
I'm not getting it just to have the best.. i'm just making a new system outa the money i have.. which will be like opteron 165.. 2gb ram.. sata3g.. dfa lanparty.. 7900.. i mean the whole pc costs $1400. It's called having a job, not being rich or stupid :\
