Not even really interested in this game.... but reading ^^^^ made me feel all warm and fuzzy.
V-Sync works for me ingame, i get tearing when its off, but not too noticeable, and no tearing when its on.
Stable 60fps on or off too.
Game is like Left4Dead that its dated looking, but still alot of fun
this game is a total failure compared to rtcw. Really disappointed.
I've also got v-sync on with great performance. No issues at all, game seems really stable and optimized. Really having a blast with it.
i was thinking about buying it
but will it run 60 fps with gtx 295 and intel i7
does the game have sli support ?!
and whats the best driver ?
Can't confirm or deny SLI support, but its not needed as you will definelty get a constant 60fps with a GTX295 and and i7, i get 60fps with everything maxed at 1920x1080.
Best driver would be the 190.38 or 190.56.
Looks a lot like:
which one looks better?? Seriously. And yea I love good gameplay but if a game from 2009 looks like one from 2004 then its a rip off. and what's really bad is; I pre-ordered both the pc and 360 versions and gamestop won't take em back.
GuitarScott, the graphics are alot better than that screenshot makes out, the lack of AA isn't a huge problem at a high res, and even though its not super detailed like Crysis or Far Cry2, there are alot of nice effects and the design can be lovely at times
The physics are also quite nice, though they are are a touch linear and stuff disappearing quickly does ruin some of it.
Why did you order PC and 360 one, PC and PS3 i could understand, but usually the PC one is the 360 one with a higher res and more AA.
I'm with you on that.
Are you guys comparing this to playing RTCW now, or how you remembered it, cause i played it a few weeks ago, and it was nowhere near as good as i remembered it, so my expectations were lowered for this.
games fun but mp needs to be fixed...
dammnit I need RTCW: ET days back!
It looks good but ive read a few comments on the net most people sayings its basically a COD W@W mod
im still gonna give it a go not played the original though
Graphics Console comparison
Also, in HD
I am gonna install it in a while. Bought it today for 40 euro. Seems a fair price for a new game.
Just thought i would pop in and say there is AA, but only for the multiplayer engine. No idea why they added it for MP and not Single, but i wouldnt be suprized if the next patch fixes this and adds AA option for SP when its already there for the MP....
As you play the game more, the game gets even more awesome. The locales are even more insane and awesome than RTCW. Remember places in RTCW such as the labs? Expect way more, bigger bunkers, labs and other sweet places. If the DooM 3 engine does one thing well, its the Indoor bunkers and other areas, and as you play you will see what i mean.
Saying the game looks as bad as the Quake 3 engine (RTCW) just means you are an idiot and will lose all credibility on the forum.
The game does support sli. Game is in the official latest driver with sli profile, game also runs dead smooth at constant 60fps with vsync enabled, more than likely alot higher with it disabled, this is with a gtx295.
I get 60fps with a single card, with Vsync on or off, guess its capped to 60 unless i missed something.
they delivered my copy this morning but i was out so i just got home and found it on my desk, installing now, will report my experiences with the game and obviously will add some screenshots to the sh-thread. :eyebrows:
i also get a constant 60 fps @ 1600x1200 max settings how did you get AA to work??? i'm using the latest drivers (190.38) with the "Overide any Application" setting but AA aint working here. Win7 Ultimate x64.
