WOL with Android

Hi all.

Is it possible to send magic packets by some Android function?
I ask because I saw someone starting his computers every day by QR code, which he scans to wake the machine up. He told me it is nothing more than WOL and QR codes connected ... but how?

 

I'm not sure about native WoL in Android, but I'm using this app daily and it works great. Absolutely love it.

Duorem on F+Droid dies the same, minus the Google Firebase

 

How would I control either Duorem or WoL by QR code?
Tbh. I already tried WakeOnLan before.

For example one of my MACs is aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:ff .
From what I assume, the QR code contains a command string to fire up the WoL tool with additional commands.

Like
/sdcard/var/wol/wol -start=aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:ff

Or something like that. Any ideas?

 

More likely the QR is a script which contains a conditional cases, user+privilege and WOL command

 

You can install Wake On Lan android app and add it to Tasker android program (it has plugin). Try to create event when scanning QR code
