With a TGP of 175W, the RTX 3080 Ti Mobile will be the most powerful laptop GPU ever.

very nice gpu,wish it was a desktop card too.it should have been the real 3070Ti,with more cuda and instead of just using g6x on the same die.

anyway,this is a pretty awesome spec for a mobile gpu.

 

Expensive too saw some price leaks with 12900HS was 3k+ upwards.

 

Desktop 3080ti costs 2.5k$ by itself.

 

mobile 3080ti its not even close destktp version its more bosted 3070RTX
but i understatnd stil have power but maybe only between 3060ti and 3070

 

3080m is already around 3060ti so 3080ti mobile would be more like 3070ti desktop.

 

yup,if you thought the prices in the summer were awful,now they're twice as bad.and only get worse in 2022 until lovelace since production for ampere is very limited and rdna2 cards except for 6600xt are just as stupid as rtx30

 

pushing more tdp to a segment that is very tdp limited bring em closer to the desktop counterparts ? who knew ! ? !!!

 

On a somewhat related note, it's pretty impressive how much you can reduce an RTX 3000 GPU's power consumption while not losing that much performance. They're really inefficient at stock settings

my laptop with an i7 8750h and 1070 arent the coolest by any means, i wonder how warm these get.

 

what is the tgp of that 1070 ?

But you aren't getting desktop 3080 ti performance though, it's going be around 3070 ti desktop tops. Same as the 12900HS is cut down over desktop version.

 

And here I am thinking 65W for an entire laptop is too much.
What's even the point of this? With the amount of cooling and power delivery necessary, it isn't going to function as a laptop anymore, let alone be portable.

doesn't mention tdp for the 1070
if that's 140-150w in this cheapo slim laptop then a 175w card with something beefier would be fine.
though,like schmidt said,hard to cosier this a portable device anymore.

they've been putting 1080 in sli into laptops for years.I don't think anyone looking for a mobile device should even take this into consideration since it will require some hefty cooling.
