winXP and win98 same drive

    Has anyone had any luck getting Win XP nad win 98 to boot on the same partition. I know it's not supposed to work but I hate cannots and am trying to get through this, I'll rewrite the software if I have to but if anyone else has had any luck I would like to hear from you. <IMG SRC="smileys/hot.gif">

    I might be wrong, but if you install win98 first then winXP over the top. (like you would with 2k) Then you should find that XP makes the sys dual boot. I am 80% sure thats how it works. !

    If I remember correctly, you can tell it to install XP to a different folder, instead of C:/Windows. Use WindowsXP as a name, and it'll set itself up in there. What you may want to watch out for though is that it may try to replace certain other folders, like 'My Documents'. Obviously, back it up first!!<br>
    Otherwise, repartition your drive. Use Partion Magic, or just use DOS, wipe the drive, and partion it, then load 98, then XP.
