This would be in the advanced forum, but I have only a single post, excuding this one, and therefore I am barred from posting, etc, etc. I recently used this guide to install server 2008 as a workstation OS after a reformat. So far its working well except for the fact that I lost my softmod drivers that I had with XP64. Generally, all the vista64 dirvers are cross-compatible with server2008-x64. I know its been asked a thousand times before, but does a vista64 softmod exist yet? (specifically, for a Radeon 38xx -> FireGL v7700) If not, how exactly do you write softmod scripts? I've got enough free time to learn and write one, since I know I'm not the only one looking for a script for vista.
I wante to learn it too, but could not find a good tutorial. These information is available in a scattered form I guess, however I could not find any good tutorial.
Folks, be patient please! I can make a vista script for 8.453's, but with that bull**** protections I have finally lost the canvas of our complete goal So, check if the standard drivers do not work on Servers, if so, I will do it. Regards, gellmaR.
