    Hi All...

    real dodgy problem....

I just got a 3rd XFX 9800GTX and re-installed vista 32 with latest mobo and graphics drivers...

i have no option for SLI and device manager says i have 2 9800GTX's and one 8800GT????

ive tried clean driver installs and moving the cards in differant slots..all the same..

i test each card on its own and install driver...recognises each as a 9800.....

    dodgy problem..

    any help would be great..

    system specs...

    XFX 780i mobo

    4GB OCZ Reaper Ram
    Intel Q9300 oc'd to 3.4
    thermaltake 850 psu
    windows vista 32 ultimate

yea had done all that, and ran them on their own, when only 1 at a time, each one says 9800GTX

any 2 together i can run SLI

but when i put #3 in it recognises it as a 8800GT, and no sli option.

i dont have a nforce board but here is what u can try.

    1. Install/update latest Nforce drivers from Nvidia.
    2. Install/update latest Geforce drivers from Nvidia.
    3. Try it in a different OS. (if u have vista try xp and vice versa.
    4. Try Checking in bios might be something in there to enable the PCI-E slot

yea done the whole drivers thing...

i cant go back to xp as triple sli isn't supported :/

the only progress ive made is taking the sli bridge off, then install drivers again, then it shows all cards as 9800's.

but when bridge goes back on it revertes to a 8800GT

Did you check for Bios Updates too?
    On XFX site they say:

Was the motherboard out before the 9800GTX was out? then it might be a comatability problem whitch solves with a BIOS update.
