Device manufacturers choose these two settings for their devices - priority and CPU affinity.
I do not toy with both of these settings because I am too lazy to do extensive testing (and I have no issues in games).

    PS
To mess with CPU affinity you have to know all about CPU usage on your rig.

then If I may, I'd like to know your opinion on the rest of the GPU preferences on the same window. are the two settings related? using HAGS and selecting performance per app?

HAGS being the reg entry under : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\GraphicsDrivers
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers

and the GPU preferences under: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\DirectX\UserGpuPreferences

HAGS has benefit on weak CPUs - https://devblogs.microsoft.com/directx/hardware-accelerated-gpu-scheduling/.
Performance per app is for laptops with pair of GPUs - weak iGPU and strong dGPU - so user can select which GPU for which app (as I take it).

There is a way to get no rounded windows corners like in w10?

You should ask for help in that forum at www.classicshell.net . I have not messed with Windows shell on my rigs.

PS I can say though: long ago I wrote components to integrate into Windows shell and it was pain in the a$$. So to me it seems that to write completely new alternative shell for OS is much easier that to hack existing one.

    PPS
Btw, have you succeeded with round corners?

Hi mbk1969, this question has nothing to do with MSI/MSI-X or INTx. I was wondering from your testing which feels better for mouse movement/low latency? OEM microsoft drivers that come with win10/11 or using the required drivers needed to get less latency? I felt with more drivers installed, my mouse became very floaty.

    Which drivers do you mean?

generally anything... such as oem AHCI driver vs Intel's or so forth. Trying to figure out which to go for. having issues moving my mouse cursor quick enough to line up my targets, can't seem to track em properly.

Let`s not talk abstractly. Research your latencies with the help of https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/simple-way-to-trace-dpcs-and-isrs.423884/ , and send me results through private message.

PS Or you can test latencies for each driver yourself...

I don't know if it will work for everyone, but give a shot.

I don't recommend doing this (Unless you have a restore point)... but I was having a problem with very high DPC Latency caused by storport.sys when starting any game.

When I unchecked the MSI mode and set the priority to ''Undefined'' for Standard SATA AHCI Controller, I didn't have any more problems with high latency storport.sys.

My windows dont have any modification, it's pure. But unfortunately that didn't solve my stuttering. But I will keep looking for a solution.

    Windows 10 21H1 (19043.1288)
    Ryzen Power Plan (High Performance)
Nvdia Control Panel (Maximum Performance) (Driver 496.49)
    Bios (Only DOCP Ram 3200mhz)

You did two actions - MSI mode and interrupt priority - any of them alone could bring improvement. I mean I can`t discover from your post whether you tested those two settings separately.

It is still not clear whether you tested those two settings separately...

this only happens in the presence of a faulty storage device on the controller, sorry to give the bad news.

and thats not necessarily saying the device is going to die, some drives had buggy firmware that respond to ahci power management incorrectly.

but wat about other figures like link speed setted to 1

You better check with GPU-Z. Or run "PCI devices" when GPU is under enough of load.
